Believest Thou This

Then when you humble yourself down, God will exalt. But when you exalt yourself, God will see that you are brought to abase. That's right. He said so in His Word.

Conference

A conference table being set. Let's see what the conference. What the echo's going to be? All Angels are standing around wondering what takes place now. The decision's made. What is it? "Not My will but Thine be done." Oh the Angels unfolded their blessings and begin to minister to Him then, preparing Him for that great hour. A conference was set. A decision was made. I'm so glad of that decision.

It was laying in the holiest of holies. You can take a dead sinner, rotten, carnal in his mind and in his thinking a criticizer of the power of God, and bring him into the Presence of the Holy Ghost, there'll be something happen to him. Sure. Entering into that lonely place with God... "He dwells," says Moses in the next chapter, "in the thickness of the darkness." That's where God dwells. That's where life stays. Is in the midst of the rotten corruption. Where does the life stay? In the seed after it's rotten. When it dies to itself it brings forth a new life. Where does God stay? He will stay with you if you're ready to die out to yourself and give Him a chance: service: body. intellectual: spirit, thoughts; and soul, your faith in God: three room house.

Installing Ruby on Rails on Linux

We don't officially support Linux for this class, so you will be mostly on your own if you want to use it. However, we think the following instructions may work:

• Check to see if Ruby is already installed with the correct version by typing "ruby -v". If it prints version 1.9.3 then you can skip the next few steps.
• Install rvm by following the instructions at https://rvm.io/rvm/install/.
• Once rvm is installed, invoke the following shell commands, which will upgrade Ruby to 1.9.3 and make that the default version of Ruby on your machine.

  rvm install 1.9.3
  rvm use 1.9.3 --default

• Once you are running Ruby 1.9.3, you can upgrade to Rails 3.2.13 with the following command:

  gem install rails -v 3.2.13

• Install Sqlite3. Download the file sqlite-3.7.0.1.so and copy it to the directory containing the Ruby executable. Then use the Gem system to install the Ruby connector:

  gem install sqlite3-ruby

  This may print out several warning messages, which you can ignore.

rsync	Sincroniza de forma rápida e flexível dados entre dois computadores

netstat	Mostra o estado da rede
rsh	Corre umam shell em outros sistemas UNIX
ssh	Versão segura do rsh
nmap	Poderoso port-scan, para visualizarmos portas abertas num dado host
ifconfig	Visualizar os ips da nossa máquina, entre outras funções relacionadas com ips
ping	Pingar um determinado host, ou seja, enviar pacotes icmp para um determinado host e medir tempos de resposta, entre outras coisas

Comandos de Controle de Processos
kill	Mata um processo, como por exemplo kill -kill 100 ou kill -9 100 ou kill -9 %1
bg	Coloca um processo suspenso em background
fg	Ao contrário do comando bg, o fg traz de volta um processo ao foreground
jobs	Permite-nos visualizar jobs em execução, quando corremos uma aplicação em background, poderemos ver esse job com este comando, e termina-lo com um comando kill -9 %1, se for o job número 1, por exemplo
top	Lista os processos que mais cpu usam, útil para verificar que processos estão a provocar um uso excessivo de memória, e quanta percentagem de cpu cada um usa em dado momento
^y	Suspende o processo no próximo pedido de input
^z	Suspende o processo actual

clock	Define a hora do processador
date	Exibe a data e hora
df	Exibe um resumo do espaço livre em disco
